Eastern Waste Disposal (EWD) sponsored the artwork made by Jelena Mone for the ‘Shadow Over Us’ at the Gardens of Easton Lodge. Shredded tyres from EWD were used to draw attention to the countrywide need to recycle waste tyres. Rubber forms an integral part of the wheels of an aircraft and in addition is used as a component in runway construction. The College also uses the shredded tyres for ménage surfacing at the equestrian centre.
