Our Lady Immaculate R.C. Primary School
‘Scale & Environment’ was an art workshop held with the children of Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Primary School, Chelmsford. It was a collaboration between artist and designer Thadian Pillai, then a Landscape and Garden Design degree student and CADE. The children were asked to depict their favourite space using only one line (in this case with a single piece of black yarn) and to comment on why that particular place was special to them. The workshop was initiated by the commission Thadian had received for a 73 metre long mural in the school grounds with associated planting plan.
