Space to Work, 2005
A conference held by Essex County Council at Writtle College in collaboration with CADE, Colchester Borough Council, firstsite and Commissions East. The aims of the event were to develop a stratergy for supporting the work of professional visual artists and craftspeople in Essex addressing issues concerning:
The conference was attended by a wide range of visual artists who contributed as speakers, facilitators and in discussion groups. Speakers included: Richard Baxter, Artist, Leigh-on-Sea Art Trail; Penny Hughes-Stanton, Mistley Maltings; Peter Jones, Artist, Cuckoo Farm; Juliet Martin, Chelmsford Borough Council; Jill Raggett, Reader, Writtle College; Greer Roberts, Arts Council East; Lindsey Strange, Essex County Council; Steve Terry, Senior Lecturer, Writtle College; Peter Tullin, Arts & Business; Kath Wood, firstsite; Lucy Wood, Commissions East.
