A conference held by Essex County Council at Writtle College in collaboration with CADE, Colchester Borough Council, firstsite and Commissions East. The aims of the event were to develop a stratergy for supporting the work of professional visual artists and craftspeople in Essex addressing issues concerning:
- studio, space to work,
- selling and gaining commissions,
- training and professional development
- communications and infrastructure.
The conference was attended by a wide range of visual artists who contributed as speakers, facilitators and in discussion groups.
